Trio COSIMA wall lamp 263970142

Trio COSIMA 263970142 is an anthracite wall lamp with a conical metal shade and an articulated arm. Its round wall plate and slim arm sections give the fitting a clearly geometric outline. It takes a replaceable E14 bulb rather than using a built-in LED module.

Position the arm and aim the shade

The joints let you change the position of the arm, while the movable head allows you to direct the shade's opening towards the chosen area. Beside a bed or an armchair, that arrangement is useful for aiming light at a book instead of only at the wall. The manufacturer also identifies the living room and hallway as places for supplementary lighting. This is not a broad diffusing fitting designed to light an entire room evenly.

The anthracite metal finish, plain cone and visible arm joints suit modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. The open underside leaves the bulb visible, so its shape contributes to the lamp's appearance as well as its lighting performance.

A plug lead or a fixed connection

FLEXconnect provides two installation routes: operation with a plug lead or a fixed wall connection following the manufacturer's instructions. A prepared electrical outlet in the wall is therefore not essential. The drawing specifies a 150 cm lead. Before choosing the mounting position, compare that length with the distance to the socket and the intended cable route. The switch on the head turns the light on and off; it should not be mistaken for an integrated dimmer.

Choose the bulb and allow room for movement

You need one separately purchased E14 bulb rated at no more than 10 W. Brightness and colour temperature depend on that bulb. The drawing shows a width of 54 cm in the illustrated position, a height of 16 cm and a shade diameter of 15 cm. The wall plate is 12 cm in diameter. Allow space not just for that plate, but also for repositioning the arm and changing the direction of the shade.
