Trio DUOLINE 702231A 90° L connector, matt white, external protective conductor

Trio DUOLINE 702231A is a matt white L-shaped connector that joins two tracks at a 90° angle. Its housing is made of plastic. It is not a spotlight or a complete lighting kit: it forms a corner within the two-phase DUOLINE track system.

Check the protective conductor position

The defining feature of variant 702231A is its external protective conductor arrangement. DUOLINE tracks carry the protective conductor on one side of the profile. Its position is determined by the installation of the power feed and must remain continuous throughout the track layout, including changes of direction. Before selecting this connector, check the track route and conductor side rather than relying only on the colour of the components.

This connector creates a right-angle corner. It does not replace a straight connector or a T junction. Article number 702231A identifies the precise version when assembling parts for the planned track route.

Electrical load, not light output

The instructions specify 230 V ~ 50 Hz and a maximum load of 2 × 600 W. This is the rating of a system component, not a lamp's energy consumption or luminous flux. The connector itself does not produce light. The two-phase DUOLINE system allows two groups of luminaires to be switched or dimmed independently; this is a feature of the appropriately configured installation as a whole.

Allow space for the corner

The connector measures 9 cm wide, 10 cm deep and 2 cm high. Account for this footprint when planning the corner. The manufacturer specifies wall or ceiling mounting of the system and indoor use. The matt white finish and simple form suit modern track layouts in a living room or bedroom. Read the manufacturer's installation instructions and safety notes before assembly.
