Trysil 1000BC Twin-Arm LED Garden Lantern 263 cm, Black with Copper Patina, NORLYS

Trysil 1000BC is an integrated NORLYS lighting column 263 cm tall, topped with a Y-shaped arm carrying two flat LED heads. The column and arms are made from extruded, powder-coated aluminium profile in the BC finish – black with a copper patina. The LED modules are built into the heads, so there are no bulbs to buy.

How big it is and where it goes

The lantern stands 263 cm tall, and its arms span 118 cm at a depth of 24 cm. It weighs 21.3 kg net and ships in a carton 232 cm long.

IP65 protection and IK10 impact resistance let it stand outdoors without any extra cover. It is installed following the instructions supplied with the luminaire, and any other mounting accessories are sold separately. This is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor.

How much light it gives

Four LED modules with a combined rating of 21.2 W produce 3976 lm, and the complete luminaire delivers 2433 lm at 25 W – 97.3 lm/W. At 3000 K the light is warm white, close to a traditional incandescent bulb. Clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffusers spread the light downwards in a hemispherical pattern.

The manufacturer states a ULOR of 0.4% and a BUG rating of B1-U1-G1, so almost no light goes above the heads – the lantern lights the ground, not the sky. It is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so it works with either common dimmer type.

Wiring and servicing

The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 4 mm², and the luminaire can be looped through with cable up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and up to 12.5 mm in diameter. Several lanterns can therefore run from one supply line led from column to column.

The LED modules and driver are replaceable, but only by a professional service – the manufacturer provides service kit ZS1000zx0009 for this. Module lifetime is rated at 102,000 h to 80% of the initial flux (L80).

Where it fits

NORLYS intends Trysil for lighting gardens, private grounds and architectural projects. Two heads on one column suit a driveway, a large terrace or a park, where a single point has to light a wider strip of ground. The plain, rectangular form without ornament is modern, with a restrained Scandinavian character.
