White Lysfjord 6424WH outdoor up-down wall lamp LED 26.5 W 4000 K, narrow beam NORLYS

Lysfjord 6424WH is a white outdoor wall lamp shaped as a cylinder 15 cm across and 43 cm tall, standing 20 cm off the wall. It shines up and down at the same time: both ends of the cylinder carry safety-glass lenses that focus the light into a very narrow 4° beam. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in RAL 9003.

What light it gives and what it lights

A 4° beam draws two thin, sharp lines of light on the wall — one above the lamp and one below — rather than a pool of light around it. The effect marks a vertical line on a facade, pillar or recess; it will not light a path or doorway under the wall. The manufacturer gives a ULOR of 50%, so half of the light goes upward, and calculated the light distribution for mounting at a height of 5 m.

4000 K is neutral white with no yellow cast. CRI 80 is enough to keep the colour of render or cladding readable after dark, and SDCM3 colour consistency means several lamps in one row shine in the same tone.

Light source and DALI2 control

Two LED modules and an electronic outdoor DALI driver work inside; both are replaced by a professional, so there is no bulb to buy. The whole luminaire draws 26.5 W. The manufacturer states an L80 module life of over 102,000 h and a driver life of 100,000 h.

Brightness is set over DALI2 or with NightDim. The driver leaves the factory set to the maximum permitted current; Norlys programs other parameters after contact with its sales department.

Resistance and wall mounting

IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it can hang on an open wall; IK08 protects body and glass against impacts. It works between -20 and +45°C and is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection.

It fixes with two ø5 mm holes spaced 73 × 154 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and looped wiring up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so several lamps run on one circuit — the manufacturer gives up to 18 per B10 breaker and up to 28 per B16. The 6.73 kg net weight needs a wall strong enough for the casting.

The plain cylinder suits modern, minimalist architecture and is intended for lighting walls and facades.
