AELA P/P FAEPN1 Ceiling Light, Black, Gea Luce

Gea Luce AELA P/P FAEPN1 is a black LED ceiling light built around an open ring rather than a solid illuminated disc. Its satin-black aluminium frame carries a white opal methacrylate diffuser. Light is emitted both into the room and towards the ceiling, while the centre of the fitting remains open.

A 40 cm ring with a shallow profile

The complete fitting measures 40 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm in overall height. The ring profile itself is 3.5 cm high, and the ceiling base measures 25 cm across. Distinguishing those measurements matters when positioning the electrical outlet: the visible ring extends beyond the mounting base. Compare its full diameter with the available ceiling area and the movement of any nearby tall cupboard doors.

There is no cable drop to accommodate. The circular outline, open centre and contrast between black metal and the pale diffuser suit modern and minimalist interiors rather than schemes calling for an ornate, branching chandelier.

Two-way light with separate dimming controls

Integrated LEDs provide the light, with a stated power of 30 W + 6 W. This is not a fitting for which you select a separate screw-in bulb. The manufacturer specifies 1800–1900 lm, a 120° beam angle and a colour temperature of 3000–4000 K. When combining it with other lights, compare their light colour as well as their external finish.

The ring can be considered for general lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen, entrance hall or corridor. Its broad distribution does not replace a directional task light where a concentrated beam is required. Brightness can be controlled using an external phase-cut dimmer and Push control. The control components are not included; their compatibility and installation requirements should be checked before fitting the light.

Installation and cleaning

AELA is intended for indoor ceiling mounting on a 220–240 V AC supply. Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel with the mains supply disconnected. The instructions recommend a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Water and cleaning solution must be kept away from cables and electrical components.
