Aldex Pinne Long matt white ceiling light, 14 cm glass globe, E14 1080PL_G_L

Aldex Pinne Long 1080PL_G_L is a white ceiling light with a long, straight metal stem and a milky glass shade. The metal is powder-coated in matt white, while the spherical shade measures 14 cm across. This is the Long version of the Pinne family: narrow in footprint, but extending well below the ceiling.

Plan for the full 92 cm drop

The fitting is 92 cm high, with a width and depth of 14 cm. The manufacturer's drawing also shows an 80 cm stem and a ceiling canopy measuring 10 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm high. Before choosing its position, check both the ceiling mounting area and where the bottom of the shade will sit in relation to furniture and circulation routes.

Pinne Long does not sit close to the ceiling like a shallow flush fitting. Above a table or beside a seating area, its vertical outline can become part of the room's composition. In a hallway, ceiling height and clear passage beneath the fitting matter. The dimensions of this specific version are more useful for placement than the broad ceiling-light category alone.

One E14 socket inside a glass globe

The spherical shade contains one E14 socket. The assembly instructions show the bulb being screwed in before the glass section is fitted. A replaceable light source lets you choose light colour and brightness through a suitable bulb; the fitting itself should not be assigned a fixed colour temperature or lumen output.

The milky glass conceals the source and diffuses its light. When planning lighting for a living room, bedroom or dining area, distinguish the shade's effect from the selected bulb's specifications. A single light point does not, by itself, establish how large an area the lamp can illuminate.

The restrained geometry of Pinne

A slim vertical stem, circular canopy and globe form a composition without added ornament. These proportions suit modern, minimalist and modernist interiors. Matt white describes the metal parts; the shade remains milky glass. When combining it with other Pinne lights, compare their lengths: Short and Medium are different versions, not interchangeable names for Long.
