Osaka 7022 is a single surface-mounted spotlight shaped as a white tube 7.5 cm across and 10 cm tall. The body is lacquered steel and a movable GU10 holder sits in a ring inside its lower opening.
How it is mounted
The fitting is surface-mounted: it is screwed onto the finished ceiling and needs neither a cut-out nor space above the slab. That settles where it can go — the tube suits places where there is no room above the ceiling for a recessed fitting, such as a concrete slab, a ceiling with no suspended layer, or a passage between two rooms.
The figures to compare with your planned position are 7.5 cm base diameter and the 10 cm by which the fitting projects down from the ceiling. In a low room those ten centimetres are noticeable; at ordinary ceiling height they disappear.
Aiming the beam
The element holding the lamp is movable and tilts 25° from vertical, so the beam can be aimed at a chosen point instead of shining straight down. One tube can therefore light a picture on the wall, part of a worktop or a doorway, not only the floor beneath it.
Which lamp to buy
The fitting takes one GU10 lamp of up to 10 W in an LED version. The lamp is not supplied, so you choose the light colour and the beam angle yourself — a narrow beam puts a defined pool of light on the wall, a wide one spreads the light more evenly below the fitting.
A single light point covers a limited area, so lighting a whole room usually means planning several tubes in a row or a grid. The Osaka range also includes a twin version and a black finish, so spacing and colour can be matched within one interior.
Build and operating conditions
The body is steel finished in white lacquer with a perceptibly textured surface. It runs from a 220–230 V supply, and the IP20 rating covers dry interiors only. The manufacturer gives a five-year warranty.
