ARGON LAGOS 1689 ceiling spotlight bar, matt white with brass details, 4×GU10

ARGON LAGOS 1689 is a four-light spotlight bar for ceiling or wall mounting. White cylindrical heads connect to the rectangular base through gold-coloured joints. ARGON specifies painted steel and brass-plated steel, so the brass-coloured details should not be confused with a fitting made entirely from solid brass.

A 62 cm span with adjustable heads

The complete fitting is 620 mm wide, with a maximum height of 145 mm and a depth of 90 mm. The manufacturer's drawing distinguishes the overall span from the base itself, which is 550 mm long. Compare both measurements with the available mounting area and the position of the electrical connection before choosing its location.

The direction of the individual lights can be adjusted to illuminate different parts of an interior. All four cylinders share one base: this is a single fixed fitting, not four separate lights or a track system. Its straight lines, tubular heads and exposed joints suit modern, minimalist and loft-style settings without adding decorative arms or a suspended shade.

Choosing the four GU10 lamps

The installation manual specifies GU10 LED lamps rated at no more than 5 W each. Each lamp must also fit within a maximum diameter of 51 mm and a maximum height of 57 mm. Check body size and wattage as well as the socket designation when selecting replacements.

Light colour, brightness and beam width depend on the lamps selected. Match those characteristics to the intended lighting role rather than assuming that four sockets guarantee a particular room-wide output. ARGON lists studies, bedrooms and entrance halls; adjustable heads can also provide supplementary light to selected areas of a living or dining room.

Fixed mounting on a ceiling or wall

LAGOS 1689 operates on 230 V. The manual shows a fixed mounting base and a connection with protective earth. Installation must follow the manufacturer's instructions with the power disconnected. Plan the bar's position together with the directions in which the heads will be aimed.
