Bradbury Wall Light - 2 lights - Antique White Elstead

Bradbury is a Quoizel wall light distributed by Elstead Lighting: an open steel frame shaped as a tall arch, finished with ball details at the top and bottom, with two candle-style lampholders set against an oval back plate. The Antique White finish is an off-white with distressed patches where a brown tone shows through along the edges — clearly visible in the close-ups.

Size and mounting

The wall light is 41.8 cm high, 20.7 cm wide and projects 16.5 cm from the wall. Compare the height and width with the free stretch of wall, and the 16.5 cm projection with the width of the passage if it is going in a narrow spot.

It weighs 1 kg and is for indoor use. It is a Class I fitting, so it must be connected to the protective earth conductor. It runs on 230 V mains.

Lamps and light

The two E14 lampholders take lamps of up to 40 W each. Lamps are not included — you need to buy two. The wall light has no shade, so the lamps are fully exposed and largely decide how it looks; the manufacturer shows it with filament-style candle lamps. With an exposed source, choose the brightness knowing the lamp is seen directly — the lower the luminous flux, the less it dazzles.

Light falls straight onto the wall and onto the oval plate behind the lamps. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps: to dim it you need lamps marked as dimmable and a dimmer.

Style and intended rooms

A classic shape with candle-style holders and ball finials, combined with a distressed white, makes this a shabby chic piece. It is intended for the dining room. The Bradbury family also includes a Grey Ash version and a flush ceiling light in both finishes.
