A small shade with a maximum 100 cm overall drop

The light measures 14 cm in both width and length. Its small footprint makes it a possible choice above a smaller table, beside a bed or as a decorative lighting point in a living room. In a dining room, kitchen or restaurant, compare the shade size with the surface you want to illuminate before deciding on the arrangement. Several separately installed lights can repeat the same detail along a table or kitchen island; this particular fitting has one light point.

The manufacturer's drawing gives a maximum overall height of 100 cm and a ceiling canopy width of 10 cm. Check these against your ceiling height, the electrical connection position and the clearance required below the fitting. This is especially important in an entrance hall or corridor, where a suspended shade must not obstruct people passing underneath. The overall height includes the suspension, rather than describing the shade alone.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

DECO has one E27 socket and accepts a light source rated up to 60 W. No bulb is supplied. When choosing one separately, consider both the permitted wattage and its physical fit within the shade. Brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you install, not on the silver finish. The transparent surround leaves the bulb visible, so its appearance also contributes to the finished arrangement.

This fitting is intended for indoor use. Its crystal detailing can be combined with mirrors and glossy accessories in a bedroom, living room or hotel room, while the single cylindrical shade keeps the composition simple. It is not a garden light. For locations requiring protection against water, decorative appearance alone is not a sufficient basis for selecting a fitting.
