LID ROUND is a circular ceiling light 11 cm across and 4 cm deep. The black plastic body is closed underneath by a white, milky diffuser covering the whole lower face; ventilation slots in the side wall carry the diodes' heat away.
Eleven centimetres and 1200 lumens
For a fitting this small that is a lot of light: 15 W produce 1200 lm from a face the size of a saucer. One is enough for a hallway or a pantry; in a larger room several set out on a grid replace a single big ceiling light and spread the light evenly instead of concentrating it in the middle.
At 4 cm deep the fitting barely drops below the ceiling, so it stays out of the way where the ceiling is low — in a corridor, a dressing room, or under a loft slope.
Colour and distribution
The diodes run at 3000 K, a warm white close to a traditional bulb, and the colour rendering index is above Ra 80. The beam angle is 120°, so the light leaves wide and draws no sharp pool — the milky diffuser spreads it further, so from the side you see an evenly lit face rather than individual diodes.
The light source is built in permanently and cannot be replaced; the maker states 30,000 hours.
Mounting and build
The fitting screws straight to the ceiling, with no hole to cut and no void needed above it — so it suits a concrete slab as readily as a suspended ceiling.
It is protection class II, double insulated, and needs no earth conductor at the box, which simplifies fitting into an older two-core installation. It runs on 230 V mains. The body is plastic, which keeps the weight down and leaves the matt black surface free of marks.
