Lucide ESTEREL 21446/40/41 is a pendant light with an open metal shade measuring 40 cm across. Curved vertical rods create its rounded outline without forming a solid enclosure. The matt taupe finish combines grey and beige tones, with a matching fabric-covered cable and ceiling canopy.

Set the drop before installation

The shade itself is 42 cm high. Overall suspension height can be set between 70 and 170 cm before installation, allowing the position to be planned around ceiling height and the surface below. This is an installation adjustment, not a mechanism for raising and lowering the pendant during everyday use.

The round canopy is 10 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm high. Compare its size with your ceiling connection point, particularly when replacing a fitting that had a larger canopy. Allow for the full 40 cm shade diameter when deciding where the pendant should hang.

One GU10 bulb, supplied separately

A single GU10 socket takes an MR16-format light source rated up to 25 W. No bulb is included. Lucide recommends article 49006/05/30, so the chosen bulb determines the actual light colour and output. The fitting's maximum wattage is a limit, not a requirement to use a bulb consuming 25 W.

Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and a compatible external dimmer. The dimmer is not supplied. Check compatibility between these separately selected components rather than assuming that any GU10 bulb will support dimming.

An open shade for modern interiors

The rounded metal framework and repeated vertical lines suit contemporary and modernist schemes. ESTEREL can be used above a dining table, in a kitchen or within a living area. Its open construction leaves gaps around the light source rather than enclosing it behind an opaque shade. Lucide describes the distribution as diffuse light around the fitting, not exclusively a downward beam. Consider the selected bulb's characteristics when planning illumination over a particular surface.
