Nordlux Hester 2015391020 LED wall light, marble-pattern finish, 3000 K

Nordlux Hester 2015391020 is an LED wall light with a round glass shade above a rectangular base in a marble-pattern finish. The shade is tempered frosted glass, while the body is plastic. Marble therefore describes its appearance rather than a natural-stone construction. The contrast between the circular shade and angular base suits modern and minimalist interiors.

Three brightness settings from an ordinary wall switch

The built-in Moodmaker function selects three lighting levels using a standard wall switch. The first switch-on gives full brightness, the next switching action selects 50%, and the following one activates a 60 lm night light. These are preset stages rather than continuous adjustment with a rotary dimmer. A memory function retains the selected mode, and the mounting instructions explain resetting it through five off/on cycles.

At full brightness, the light source provides 900 lm with a warm-white colour temperature of 3000 K. Its Ra 90 colour-rendering value is a useful comparison point when choosing lighting for the appearance of colours indoors. Power consumption is 9.5 W. The LED is included within the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to select or socket type to match.

Check the wall space before installation

Hester is 25.5 cm high; Nordlux lists its other dimensions as 20 cm and 9.25 cm. Compare the dimension drawing with your available space, particularly when planning a position beside a mirror or furniture. The frosted circular glass remains a distinct visual element, with the marble pattern confined to the rectangular base.

The manufacturer specifies indoor use and explicitly identifies bathroom lighting as an application. IP44 offers protection against splashing water, but it does not make every bathroom zone a permissible mounting position. The fitting can also provide supplementary wall lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway. Its night-light setting offers a separate lower-output mode.

Permanent connection and a non-replaceable LED

This is a fixed-wiring fitting for a 230 V supply, with Class II double insulation. The mounting instructions state that mounting screws are not included. The LED source cannot be replaced; once it reaches the end of its life, the entire fitting must be replaced rather than just a bulb.
