The Nordlux OMARI is a small wall light with an adjustable head: a cylindrical spot 3 cm across sits on a rectangular 12 × 7 cm back plate, and a touch button on the face of the plate serves as both switch and dimmer. All in white, with a 150 cm white cord.
The head: 90° tilt, 320° rotation
The spot tilts through 90° and turns through 320°, so one fitting can light a book on your lap, the wall above the bed or a picture beside it — and be changed at any moment without tools. With a 41° beam the pool of light is clearly defined: at one metre it is about 75 cm across. This is a directional lamp for a specific task, not a room-filler.
It is controlled at the fitting, not from a wall switch
This is the key thing to understand before buying. The manufacturer states plainly that the lamp is designed for control using the touch button on the lamp itself, and not from a wall switch. A touch turns it on and off; holding dims it steadily. Convenient beside a bed, where you reach for the lamp anyway — but if you are planning a circuit switched from the door, this fitting will not behave the way you expect.
Two ways to mount it
OMARI can be installed either on the supplied cable — which then runs down the wall to a socket — or directly onto a wall outlet box, with the wiring concealed. The second gives a clean look with no visible cord but requires a supply at the mounting point. The cable is 150 cm, white, plastic-sheathed, and — unusually in this class — replaceable.
The light source is permanently built in
Inside is a 3.2 W LED module producing 320 lm at a warm 2700 K, with a colour rendering index of Ra 80. The module is not replaceable — there is no bulb socket — and declared life is 25,000 hours, about 17 years at four hours a day. Energy class F.
Safety and dimensions
The fitting is class II (double insulated), so it needs no earth conductor — one of the things that makes it a realistic option in older buildings and for plug-in mounting. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors. Dimensions: height 12 cm, width 7 cm, projection from the wall 12 cm. Weight 0.26 kg. Sales box 11.5 × 13 × 7.5 cm.
Where it works
Nordlux presents OMARI as a lamp to place beside the bed — an adjustable head and a dimmer within reach is the classic reading-light combination, and it takes up no space on the nightstand. Beyond the bedroom it suits an armchair, a desk, a hotel room, and restaurant seating where warm, adjustable spot light is wanted. The model is also available in black (2112231003).
