Strap 68 is a large Nordlux pendant designed by Bjørn + Balle. Its black metal shade has a 68 cm diameter and pairs a clean Nordic silhouette with a distinctive leather detail. Nordlux supplies two leather straps, one brown and one black, allowing the visible finish to be selected to suit the interior.

Light source and installation

The fitting has an E27 socket for a separately chosen bulb with a maximum wattage of 60 W. A bulb is not specified as included, so its light colour and output can be selected for the intended atmosphere. The pendant can be dimmed when a compatible dimmable bulb is used. It operates at 230 V and has Class II double insulation.

The fitting is 61 cm high and its black textile cable measures 300 cm. The cable is not replaceable. These proportions help when planning a suspension above a dining table, in the centre of a living space or in a room with more generous ceiling height. At 68 cm across, Strap 68 is a deliberate visual feature rather than a small background light.

Materials, style and use

Metal and leather create a contrast between a restrained surface and a warmer accent. The design combines Scandinavian clarity with an industrial note. It can be considered for a living room, dining room, bedroom, hotel lobby or restaurant seating area when the room scale and hanging height are appropriate.
