NORLYS Asker Pole Pro 5200GR LED lighting column – 350 cm, 19.5 W, 3000 K, DALI2, graphite RAL 7016

Asker Pole Pro 5200GR is a complete 3.5 m lighting column with an LED luminaire built into the horizontal arm at the top. The column is an extruded aluminium profile 11 cm across, powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016), and the luminaire is closed by a sealed clear PMMA lens.

Size and installation

The arm with the luminaire projects 39 cm from the column axis. The column comes in two segments — the lower one is 2.3 m — and ships in a 232.5 cm long carton, worth allowing for at delivery. It weighs 11 kg and its side surface area is 0.39 m², the value needed to calculate wind load.

The base plate has four holes for M14 studs at 180 × 180 mm, matching the B 50 foundation. The foundation, anchors and mounting adapter are sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², and columns can be looped through with cable up to 5 × 2.5 mm². The luminaire is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth conductor.

Light and control

The Philips Fortimo module delivers 2668 lm at 19.5 W, which is 136.8 lm/W. 3000 K is warm white. The Ledil VSM lens spreads the light widely and evenly around the column (IESNA type V), and only 0.9 % of the flux goes above the horizontal. The manufacturer's illuminance chart is calculated for a 3.5 m mounting height, the height this column lights from.

The driver supports DALI2 and NightDim and leaves the factory set to full current: without a controller the column runs at maximum output, and dimming or a night profile requires the programming to be agreed with the manufacturer. A colour rendering index of CRI 70 is typical for road and path lighting.

Service life and protection

The manufacturer rates the LED module at L90B10 over 100,000 hours and the driver at 100,000 hours. The module and driver are replaced by a professional service and a repair kit exists for this column, so an electronics failure does not mean replacing the whole column. The luminaire is rated IP65 with IK08 impact resistance.

The plain rectangular form without ornament is modern in style. The manufacturer intends the column for private grounds and parks; it also suits access roads at hotels and restaurants.
