OFELIA S/11 FOFST11 Transparent Pendant Light by Gea Luce

Gea Luce OFELIA S/11 FOFST11 is a single-light pendant made from clear borosilicate glass. Its long, narrow neck opens into a wider shade, with a pale inner cone visible through the outer glass. This is the colourless clear version, rather than an amber or mirrored finish.

Check the glass size and hanging space

The glass body measures 20 cm across and 38.2 cm high. Compare those dimensions with your tabletop and the clearance you want beneath the fitting, especially when planning a row of pendants. The manufacturer's drawing gives a maximum overall height of 300 cm; that figure is not the height of the glass alone.

The smooth outline and slender suspension suit modern and minimalist interiors. Possible positions include a dining table, a living-room area or a kitchen island. Several separately purchased fittings can form a repeated arrangement over a longer surface. Choose their number and spacing according to the required lighting as well as the visual composition.

What is supplied, and what needs adding?

The glass assembly, a white E27 lamp-holder and a transparent 3 m PVC cable are included. The bulb and ceiling rose are not supplied. To complete the installation, allow for a suitable ceiling rose and one E27 bulb rated at no more than 60 W.

Light colour and output depend on the bulb you choose, rather than a built-in source with a fixed specification. Consider the other lighting in the room when selecting its colour temperature and brightness. The clear outer finish also leaves the inner part of the pendant visible.

Installation and cleaning

The instructions require installation by qualified personnel and disconnection from the mains before work on the fitting. For cleaning, the manufacturer specifies a damp cloth with mild detergent in lukewarm water, followed by gentle drying with a soft, clean cloth. Keep water and detergent away from the cable and electrical components.
