Oja Smart 29 smart ceiling light black LED 15W 1600lm 2700-6500K app controlled NORDLUX 2015036103

Oja Smart 29 is an app-controlled ceiling light — a black disc 29.4 cm across and just 2.3 cm thick. Nordlux calls it ultra-flat and it looks it: against the ceiling it reads as a disc rather than as a fitting.

Colour temperature from 2700 to 6500 K

This is what you buy the "Smart" version for instead of a plain Oja. The colour adjusts continuously across the whole range from warm white 2700 K to cool 6500 K, in the Nordlux Smart app or from the remote. In practice one fitting covers two different parts of the day: cool, waking light in the morning and for work, warm in the evening. Brightness is adjusted separately — 1600 lumens leaves plenty of headroom for a room of 12-15 m².

What else Nordlux Smart does

Beyond dimming and colour, the app provides scheduling (the lamp switches itself on and off at set times), a sunrise and sunset timer — brightness and colour shift gradually instead of jumping — and shared light control for other people in the household. Voice control works too. There is also a disco mode, if anyone needs one.

Backlight at the edge

The manufacturer describes the effect as a backlight: part of the output leaves sideways, creating a glow on the ceiling around the disc. The fitting therefore does not cut against the ceiling with a hard shadow edge but appears set slightly away from it. The main beam angle is 120°.

Installation data

The LED is permanently integrated and not replaceable — declared lifetime is 25,000 hours. Energy efficiency class F, colour rendering Ra 80. The fitting is protection class II (double insulated), so no earth conductor is required, at 220-240 V. IP20 restricts it to dry interiors. It weighs 0.6 kg, with a plastic housing and metal components.
