Outdoor Wall / Ceiling Light NORLYS Nordland 5046WH white LED 16 W 3000 K dimmable

Nordland 5046WH is a square outdoor luminaire for wall or ceiling mounting: a cast-aluminium frame powder-coated in white (RAL 9003) holds a milky, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. The diffuser shows not only at the front but also through the side openings of the frame. The LED module is built in, so no lamp is needed.

Size and installation

The luminaire measures 28 × 28 cm and projects 9.5 cm from the wall or ceiling – a footprint to compare with the free space beside the door or on the soffit. It is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 150 × 170 mm. It weighs 2.25 kg, and 2.55 kg in its 30.5 × 30.5 × 11 cm carton.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the cable gland a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. The luminaire is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. Norlys recommends installation by a qualified electrician, following the instructions supplied with the fitting.

What light it gives

The integrated Lumens module draws 16 W and the luminaire delivers 934 lm – slightly more than an old 60 W bulb, enough to light an entrance, a terrace or a covered seating area. 3000 K is a warm white, while CRI 80 and SDCM3 mean correct colour rendering and the same shade of light across several fittings mounted side by side. The milky diffuser spreads the light, so no bright LED dots are visible. 9.38% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B0-U3-G1), which on a wall also brightens a patch of façade above the fitting.

The luminaire can be dimmed with a phase (TRIAC) dimmer, either trailing-edge or leading-edge. The light source has energy efficiency class F.

Durability and service

IP65 lets the fitting stay uncovered in rain and while the façade is washed, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance class – useful where the light hangs low, within reach. It works from −20 to +45 °C. Only a professional service replaces the LED module; Norlys offers a repair kit, ZS5046zx0009, for this luminaire.
