PINNE 200 is a linear wall lamp shaped as a straight black aluminium bar, 200 cm long with a square 6 × 6 cm cross-section. Light leaves through the underside of the profile, so the fitting shines downwards along the wall while the body itself stays a narrow strip with no visible fixings.
How big it is and how it is mounted
Two metres is a length to compare with the width of your wall: the lamp takes up nearly the whole wall of a typical hallway, or a long band above a sideboard or sofa. The profile projects only 6 cm from the wall, a figure to set against the width of the corridor where it will hang.
According to the manufacturer's instructions, a mounting plate is first screwed to the wall with two wall plugs and the profile is then fixed onto it. The lamp weighs 4.35 kg. It is a protection class I fitting: the terminal block has N and L terminals plus a protective earth terminal, so an earth conductor must be available in the junction box.
How much light it gives, and what kind
The light source is an integrated 50 W LED module. It comes with the lamp and is not replaced like a bulb, so there is nothing extra to buy. A luminous flux of 6500 lm is main-lighting level rather than accent lighting: the lamp can light a corridor on its own and clearly brighten a whole wall in a living or dining room.
3000 K is warm white, calmer than neutral office light. A colour rendering index of CRI 90 means wall colours, pictures and furniture look natural under it, which matters when the lamp hangs above artwork. The fitting is intended for indoor use. The manufacturer also offers the same model in 4000 K and in white and grey.
Which interiors it suits
The form is minimalist: a smooth rectangular bar without ornament, where only the glowing lower edge is visible. The PINNE collection is intended for homes as well as offices and restaurants, and this wall lamp works in a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen or hallway. For the wall lamp the manufacturer specifically mentions lighting pictures in a corridor, a job suited to a long, downward-facing band of light.
The lamp is made in Poland and Thoro gives a 5-year warranty on it.
