Pole-Top Luminaire NORLYS Trelleborg 2618GR Graphite LED 20.9 W 2700 K DALI2 (Pole Not Included)

Trelleborg 2618GR is an L-shaped pole-top luminaire made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). The vertical part slides onto the top of the pole, while the 60.5 cm horizontal arm carries a flat LED module under a clear polycarbonate lens near its end. Only the luminaire is supplied — the pole is ordered separately.

Mounting and choosing a pole

The luminaire measures 60.5 × 11 × 49 cm and weighs 7.5 kg net. The manufacturer designed it for a pole with a 100 × 110 mm profile and lists Trelleborg poles from 400 to 700 cm high, in 160 × 160 or 200 × 200 mm sections, as accessories. The isolux plots on the data sheet are calculated for 4 m and 5 m mounting heights — sensible starting points when planning spacing.

The terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next luminaire (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²). It is a Class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth. One B10 circuit breaker can carry 18 of these luminaires, a B16 29, a C10 30 and a C16 49.

What light it gives

The Philips Fortimo module draws 20.9 W including the driver and delivers 2864 lm at 2700 K — warm, slightly yellowish light close to a traditional incandescent bulb. The Ledil VSM lens spreads it symmetrically in every direction around the pole (IESNA Type V), which suits squares, car parks and path junctions. Only 0.8% of the flux goes upwards, so the luminaire barely lights the sky above the garden. A colour rendering index of Ra 70 is enough for finding your way outdoors, though colours look less true than under Ra 80 and above.

The driver supports DALI-2 and NightDim. It leaves the factory set to full output; other settings, such as night-time dimming, are programmed by Norlys after agreeing them with its sales department.

Durability and service

IP65 means protection against dust and water jets, and IK10 is the highest impact rating on that scale — relevant wherever passers-by can reach the luminaire. The manufacturer states a module life of over 100,000 h (L90B10) and 100,000 h for the driver. The LED module and driver are replaced by a qualified technician; the gasket and driver are available as spare parts.
