The Quintiesse Hadrian is a flush ceiling light with retro credentials: a flat, polished chrome ring holds a one-piece clear glass shade with two lamps visible beneath it. It fits directly against the ceiling, so it takes no headroom — the whole fitting is just 117 mm deep across a 305 mm diameter.

Made for bathrooms, at home elsewhere

An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, which is why the manufacturer classes the Hadrian as suitable for interiors and bathrooms alike. It works over a basin, in the bath area outside the direct shower zone, and equally in a kitchen, hallway, utility room or covered porch — anywhere moisture and steam trouble an ordinary flush fitting.

Clear glass — which bulb to choose

The shade is colourless glass, so the bulbs stay fully visible. That is a deliberate part of the collection's look, but it also means the choice of lamp matters. Decorative filament bulbs play up the fitting's retro character, while bright clear-envelope LEDs can glare under a lower ceiling. If you want softer light, pick lamps with a frosted or opal envelope.

Build and finishes

The body is steel finished in polished chrome, and the shade is a single piece of glass.
