Rena 1751ST is a drive-over light set into the ground: a round stainless steel front 13 cm in diameter with satin safety glass, above a cast aluminium body 17 cm deep. The integrated LED module gives neutral 4000 K light.
Where it can be installed
The manufacturer allows a load of up to 2000 kg and vehicles on pneumatic tyres driving over it, so the light can sit in a driveway, a parking space or a path that a car uses. It should not go into traffic lanes where wheels brake, accelerate or turn – the data sheet rules out such horizontal loads.
IP68 means a dust-tight light made to work under water, which matters in a surface where water collects; IK09 is an impact resistance of 10 J.
What light it gives
The Lumens module produces 466 lm, and 219 lm comes out through the satin glass at a power draw of 4.2 W. The light is diffused and all of it goes upwards (ULOR 100%), with a half-angle of 74.6°. The manufacturer intends the light as an orientation marker or as an uplight shining from below.
The fitting dims with a phase dimmer. The module maker publishes a list of compatible models (including Jung, Gira, Berker, Eltako and Hager), and that list is what a dimmer meant to control the light is checked against.
Installation and servicing
The light is screwed down with three screws through ø4.5 mm holes spaced 120° apart on a ø100 mm circle – into a box set in the ground according to the instructions, or into a prepared hole in timber. The 145ZX0009 and 146ZX0009 junction boxes are sold separately. A 1 m H05BQ-F 3G1 cable with a THB.391.R4A.L connector leaves the fitting. It is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor.
The LED module is replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer offers the ZS1751zx0010 service kit for this light. The module is rated at over 59,000 h until its flux drops to 70% (L70).
