Rena 1767ST is a square drive-over LED luminaire recessed into the ground, with a stainless steel front plate measuring 13 cm on each side. Behind the plate sits a powder-coated cast aluminium body, and the light source is covered by clear safety glass. It can serve as an orientation light or as an upward-facing spotlight.
What it can carry
Norlys allows it to be driven over by vehicles on pneumatic tyres, with a maximum load of 2000 kg — enough for a car on a driveway or parking space. The manufacturer does not permit it in traffic lanes where wheels brake, accelerate or turn, because such horizontal forces are not part of its design. IP68 (to 1 m) means it withstands being flooded, and the IK09 rating protects the glass against strong impacts.
What kind of light it gives
The integrated LED module draws 8.3 W and the luminaire delivers 631 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white. The beam is symmetrical with a 36° angle: according to the data sheet the pool of light is about 0.65 m across at 1 m, about 1.3 m at 2 m and about 1.9 m at 3 m — figures to compare with the tree crown, column or stretch of wall you want to light from below.
The luminaire works with phase dimmers of both the trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) type. The LED module is replaced by professional service, and Norlys lists service kit ZS1767zx0010 for this fitting. The stated lifetime is L70 over 59,000 hours.
Installation and connection
The body is 15.7 cm deep. The front is screwed down through three ø4.5 mm holes set at 120° on a 100 mm circle, either into a box set in the ground as the instructions describe or into a suitably prepared hole in timber. Junction boxes 145 and 146 are sold separately. The luminaire comes with 1 m of H05BQ-F 3G1 cable ending in a THB.391.R4A.L cable connector and is protection class I, so it must be connected to earth. Norlys specifies installation by a qualified electrician.
