Rendl BIARITZ R12606 is a white LED wall light that sends light both upwards and downwards. Its low circular body is attached to a small rectangular wall mount. Rather than a large decorative shade, the design uses the illuminated areas above and below the fitting as its main visual feature.
Check the projection as well as the diameter
The circular body measures 10.5 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height. The manufacturer's drawing also shows an overall depth of 11 cm, including the mounting section. Before choosing a position, compare that projection with the space beside doors and furniture. A low body is not the same as a flush wall fitting.
The two-way light distribution makes BIARITZ suitable for supplementary wall lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining room. The manufacturer also lists corridors and stairs among its applications. Here it can illuminate the wall alongside a circulation route, rather than direct an adjustable beam onto a book or work surface.
A built-in source with a defined light colour
The integrated LED source is rated at 5 W and 3000 K, giving warm white light. Rendl specifies a luminous flux of 780 lm and a colour rendering index of Ra 80. The colour temperature belongs to this particular version; choosing a different screw-in bulb is not a way to change its light colour.
The light source and transformer are supplied with the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to select. When planning the rest of the room's lighting, take the upward and downward distribution into account. The lumen figure alone does not establish how evenly every part of a room will be lit.
White geometry and installation
The plain cylinder, white surface and absence of ornamental arms support modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. This is an indoor fitting for a 230 V supply. The installation manual requires a qualified installer, isolation of the main circuit before work and careful handling of the shade.
