Rendl STIG R13940 is a black metal pendant with a small conical shade and one integrated LED light source. Rather than spreading light broadly around the room, it directs a 34° beam downwards. The manufacturer identifies bar counters and kitchen islands as intended locations for this variant.
A compact shade with a separate ceiling canopy
The shade measures 8 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter. These dimensions should not be confused with those of the ceiling canopy: the circular fitting at the ceiling is 12 cm across and 2.6 cm high. A thin cable connects the two parts, with the black finish continuing across the shade, suspension and canopy.
The cable is 170 cm long. When planning a position above a counter, compare that length with the ceiling height and the level of the surface below. The shade height alone is not the overall suspended height, so it cannot tell you where the bottom edge will sit after installation.
Warm light directed at a specific area
The 6.8 W LED provides 466 lm at a warm-white colour temperature of 3000 K. Its 34° beam is relevant when you want to illuminate part of a counter rather than distribute light throughout the room. For a longer island, the layout of individual lighting points needs to take account of the surface dimensions and suspension height. A small shade does not, by itself, guarantee even coverage of the whole worktop.
Integrated source and restrained styling
The LED source and power supply are included, so this is not a fitting that requires a separately purchased E27 or GU10 bulb. It operates on 230 V. The installation manual requires a qualified installer and disconnection of the power before work begins.
The unadorned cone, slender suspension and circular canopy support a modern, minimalist scheme. Above a counter, the visual emphasis can therefore fall on the arrangement of individual pendants rather than the bulk of a wide chandelier.
