s.luce Orb 12-light E27 chandelier, white glass, black 160 cm canopy

The s.luce Orb 179668 combines twelve white glass globes with an elongated black ceiling canopy. Different globe sizes hang at several levels from two rows of suspension points. This is the white-glass version with black suspension, rather than the alternative with a white canopy.

Plan around the canopy and the globes

The shared canopy measures 160 × 25 × 4 cm, while the globes come in diameters of 20, 30 and 40 cm. Compare both the length of the ceiling fitting and the space occupied by the largest globes with your table. The 160 cm measurement describes the canopy, not the diameter of a single shade.

The manufacturer specifies this twelve-light arrangement for dining tables and kitchen islands. It can also define the dining area within an open-plan living room. Maximum suspension is 150 cm, so check the relationship between ceiling height, tabletop and the intended position of the lowest globes before installation. Two slots in the modular canopy allow the suspension points to move, and the manufacturer also confirms individual height adjustment for the globes.

Choose twelve replaceable E27 bulbs

There are twelve E27 sockets, and bulbs are not included. Your choice of bulbs determines the colour temperature and light output; white glass does not imply a fixed warm-white setting or a particular brightness for the complete fitting. Selecting the twelve sources together helps you plan the lighting as one arrangement.

Dimming is possible with suitable light sources. If you intend to use a dimmer, choose bulbs that are compatible with it. An E27 base alone does not establish that a bulb is dimmable. This distinction matters when planning both brighter table lighting and a lower setting from the same fitting.

A geometric glass-and-metal composition

The straight black canopy and slender suspension lines contrast with the solid white globe shapes. Glass and metal give the chandelier a modern, minimalist character, while the different shade diameters create a layered composition without decorative arms or additional ornament.
