s.luce Velo 194496 cascade pendant light, 12×E27, multicolour, white suspension, Ø80 cm canopy

The s.luce Velo 194496 is a twelve-light cascade pendant combining brown, clear and smoke-coloured glass shades. This particular version has a white canopy and white suspensions, rather than an all-brown shade arrangement. Vertical grooves and rounded edges repeat across the glass elements, while the pendants form a three-dimensional composition at different levels.

Distinguishing canopy size from shade size

The round Modular canopy measures 80 cm in diameter. Each individual shade is 25 cm in diameter and 27 cm high. These measurements describe different parts of the fitting: Ø25 cm is the glass size, not the diameter of the complete chandelier. When planning its position, compare both the canopy footprint at ceiling level and the size of the separate pendants with the space available.

The manufacturer specifies 500 cm textile cables that can be shortened. This allows the cascade to be planned around the height of the interior. Cable length should not be confused with shade height or taken as the overall dimension of the finished installation.

Twelve replaceable E27 lamps

There are twelve E27 sockets, and bulbs must be purchased separately. Their selection determines brightness and colour temperature; the tint of the glass does not establish either specification. The lamps remain visible through the glass, so their appearance also contributes to the look of the illuminated fitting.

The open underside of each shade allows light to leave directly downwards. Dimming is supported with suitable lamps, so bulb selection needs to take the intended control arrangement into account. This is a replaceable-lamp fitting rather than a pendant with an integrated LED module.

A cascade for tall interiors

Velo is intended for settings including open stairwells, mezzanine voids, high-ceilinged dining areas and hotel lobbies. Plan the lowest pendants in relation to stairs, balustrades and circulation routes. The glass-and-metal construction, simple suspension lines and repeated shade shapes suit modern interiors, while the three-colour glass combination remains a distinct visual feature even when the light is switched off.
