NORLYS Sande 1594BL outdoor spotlight, black, LED 3000 K, short arm

The NORLYS Sande 1594BL is an outdoor spotlight with a short arm, round head and rectangular base. Its cast aluminium body is powder-coated black. The head mounting allows the light direction to be adjusted both vertically and horizontally.

Directing light onto a chosen surface

Adjustment in two planes lets you aim the spotlight at the object being illuminated. The symmetrical 40° beam accents a selected surface rather than scattering light evenly around the fitting. The manufacturer specifies use in private grounds, parks and architectural lighting, including facades.

The LED module produces warm white light at 3000 K. The complete spotlight emits 712 lm, while the module itself produces 854 lm. Light-source output and complete-fitting output are separate measurements. The whole fitting consumes 8.3 W.

Base and mounting position

In the position shown on the technical drawing, the spotlight is 24 cm high, 9 cm wide and 15 cm deep. Compare these dimensions with the mounting surface and the room available for turning the head. This version fixes to the ground or wall; it is not a spotlight supplied with a ground spike.

The base has two oval 5 × 7 mm holes with 69 × 116 mm spacing. Additional accessories must be purchased separately. That includes the 1233XX0009 shield/baffle listed by the manufacturer for this fitting.

Integrated LED and electrical installation

The LED module and electronic driver are included, so there is no bulb to purchase. Brightness can be adjusted with a trailing edge (TE) phase dimmer. The light source and driver are designed for replacement by a professional service, rather than being changed like screw-in bulbs.

Clear safety glass and a silicone gasket protect the optics. IP65 means dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets for outdoor use. The 230 V supply requires a protective earth conductor in accordance with class I. The round cable should have an outside diameter of 6–10.5 mm.
