Spot Light Karin 2231160 wall light – birch, white glass shade, 1×E14

Spot Light Karin 2231160 is a single-bulb wall light combining birch wood with white glass. A short silver-coloured arm links the narrow upright wall base to a rounded shade with an open front. The pale wood grain remains visible on both the base and the cylindrical section above the glass.

Allow for the projection, not just the base

The manufacturer's drawing shows a base height of 14 cm and a shade diameter of 9 cm. The illustrated fitting projects 18 cm overall. Compare that projection with the position of a headboard, furniture edges and passing space before deciding where to install it. A small footprint on the wall does not mean the whole fitting sits flat against it.

Karin can serve as supplementary wall lighting in a bedroom, living room, entrance hall or corridor. Consider your normal viewing position when placing the shade. Its open front leaves a view into the fitting, so the shape of the bulb you choose also contributes to its appearance.

Choose the E14 bulb separately

There is one E14 socket, with a maximum permitted bulb wattage of 40 W. The bulb is not included, and this version does not have an integrated LED module. The separately selected bulb therefore determines the light colour and brightness. Check its physical dimensions as well as its cap type against the glass shade.

The fitting operates at 230 V and is protection class I, so the planned electrical connection needs a protective earth. The 40 W limit is an electrical rating, not a measure of light output. Compare bulb lumen ratings when deciding how much light you need.

A pale birch version of Karin

Article 2231160 pairs birch with a white glass shade. Cylindrical wooden elements and restrained detailing support Scandinavian and modern interiors. The glass surrounds the light source but remains open at the front rather than forming a closed globe. When combining several Karin fittings, check the article codes to keep the wood species and glass colour consistent.
