Stefi is a bedside lamp with a shaped base of white-painted wood and a conical shade in blue cotton. It stands 28 cm tall and 18 cm wide. It runs from a wall socket – the cable ends in a plug and has an in-line switch. Hellux designed it for a child's room: as a light by the bed before sleep or as a desk lamp.
How much space it takes
The shade is the widest part, so its 18 cm decides how much surface the lamp occupies. At 28 cm tall it fits on a bedside table or in the corner of a desk – both figures are worth comparing with the surface it will stand on and the clearance to the wall or a shelf above.
Which bulb and what light
The lamp has one E14 socket and takes a bulb of up to 40 W. The manufacturer also allows LED bulbs with this cap, which use several times less energy for similar brightness. Light colour and brightness are therefore chosen with the bulb.
The manufacturer recommends white or neutral light, under which colours in the room look truer than under very warm, yellowish light.
Construction and care
The base is made of wood finished in white paint which, according to the manufacturer, carries the safety approvals required for children's products – every paint and oil used on this lamp is certified. The cotton shade is cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
The shaped base and conical shade give it the classic form of a bedside lamp. Stefi is also made with a white or a pink shade.
