Tangens double wall lamp Chrome Nordlux

Nordlux Tangens Double is a two-light bathroom wall fitting with opal-white glass shades extending from either side of a chrome centre section. Its manually blown frosted glass and metal body form a simple, elongated shape. Article 17141029 is the chrome version, rather than the brushed-steel finish also offered in the Tangens family.

Horizontal above a mirror or vertical beside it

Nordlux permits both horizontal and vertical installation. Depending on the position of the electrical connection, you can plan the fitting above a mirror or use its elongated shape alongside the mirror edge. This refers to the orientation of the complete fitting during installation, not to independently adjustable shades or directional lamp heads.

The manufacturer lists a width of 30.8 cm and a height of 9.7 cm, with a shade diameter of 6.05 cm. Compare these measurements with the available wall space and the connection position before ordering. The two glass ends sit symmetrically around the central wall mount, so allow for the full outline of the fitting rather than just the mounting plate.

Two replaceable E14 bulbs

Tangens Double has two E14 sockets. Bulbs must be purchased separately, with a maximum wattage of 25 W for each bulb. The selected bulbs determine colour temperature and light output; the fitting itself does not have a fixed warm or cool light specification or a single brightness rating. Check bulb dimensions against the glass shades as well as the socket type.

Dimming is possible with dimmable bulbs and a compatible control arrangement. This does not establish that a dimmer is built into the fitting. Replaceable bulbs also let you alter the light characteristics later without replacing the entire wall light.

Chrome and opal glass for the bathroom

Its IP44 rating and the manufacturer's stated bathroom use support installation inside a bathroom. The actual position must still comply with local electrical installation requirements near a bath or shower; IP44 is not permission to fit it in every bathroom zone. Smooth chrome, cylindrical shades and the absence of ornamental detailing suit a modern, modernist or minimalist mirror area.
