Trysil 1006BL Twin-Arm LED Garden Lantern 263 cm, Black RAL 9005, DALI2, NORLYS

Trysil 1006BL is a twin-arm garden lantern shaped like a Y: two angled arms rise from a square post and end in flat LED heads. It is 263 cm tall with a 118 cm arm span. The body is extruded aluminium profile powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the heads are closed with clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

How much light and what kind

The heads hold two Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED modules. The luminaire draws 16.3 W and delivers 2282 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. Ledil VSM lenses spread the light symmetrically around the post (IESNA type V), so a lantern standing in the middle of a courtyard or a path junction lights the ground on all sides, while only 0.9% of the flux goes upwards. CRI 70 is enough for lighting a path, but not for places where colours have to look true.

Control is DALI2 with the NightDim function. The driver is factory-set to maximum current; other operating programmes, such as dimming in the middle of the night, are set up by Norlys on order.

Installation and power

The lantern weighs 21.3 kg and ships in a carton 232 cm long. The mounting adapter 1259GA, the ground anchor 180GA and the concreting anchor 3091GA are sold separately. It is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth, and it is installed by a qualified person.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², and further lanterns can be looped from it with cable up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and 13.6 mm in diameter. Inrush current is 15 A for 295 µs, so the manufacturer states how many luminaires one circuit breaker can carry: 18 on B10A, 29 on B16A, 30 on C10A and 49 on C16A.

Durability and service

IP65 and IK10 impact resistance let the lantern stand in a park, by a driveway or next to a terrace without extra protection. The modules are rated L90B10 for 100 000 h, as is the driver. The LED modules and control gear are replaced by a professional service, and a repair kit ZS1006zx0009 is available.

The plain geometric form without ornament is a modern style; the manufacturer intends the lantern for gardens, private grounds and other architectural projects.
