Sigma Vasco 31556 – a white wall light with a broad steel shade

Vasco 31556 combines a round wall plate, a squared projecting arm and a broad, shallow shade. Every visible part is finished in white painted steel, giving the pronounced geometric outline a light, restrained character. Rounded bends soften the corners of the frame, while the shade is held well away from the wall to form a clear feature above a side table, chest of drawers or bedside cabinet. The model is designed and manufactured in Poland by Sigma.

Dimensions and installation

The fitting measures 25 cm in length, projects 34 cm from the wall and is 23 cm high. Its shade is 25 cm wide and 8 cm high. Allow for that projection when positioning it above narrow furniture or near a route through the room. The broad metal shell screens the bulb from the sides. Installation uses a wall mounting bracket. The height is not adjustable, and the exact product image does not show a joint for changing the angle of the shade.

Select light for the location

The shade is open underneath, directing most of the light towards the surface below the fitting. The bulb remains partly visible from a low viewpoint, so its shape contributes to the finished appearance. The E27 lampholder allows a suitable LED colour temperature and brightness to be selected for a table, bedside area or a locally illuminated section of wall. Keep within the 15 W LED limit.
