Aldex Garda 1099C1 wall light, black, 36 cm, glass shade

Aldex Garda 1099C1 combines a straight black metal bar with a single spherical glass shade. The matte metal contrasts with the white globe, which sits off-centre along the bar. This is a geometric wall light with one light point, rather than a branching fixture with several arms or separate shades.

Choose the orientation before installation

Aldex confirms that the fitting can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The bar can therefore run across a wall or follow a narrower upright section. This describes the installation position, not an adjustment or rotation mechanism after fitting. Decide on the orientation while planning the wall layout and the position of the electrical connection.

In its horizontal position, Garda measures 36 cm wide, 14 cm high and 16 cm deep. The shade has a diameter of 14 cm. Compare these dimensions with the available wall area and the distance from neighbouring furniture. In an entrance hall, depth matters as well as width: the globe projects into the space in front of the wall.

One E14 light source

The fitting has one E14 socket. Use that socket designation when choosing a compatible bulb; it does not specify brightness or colour temperature. Those properties depend on the particular light source selected. Neither the black finish nor the appearance of the illuminated product photograph establishes a guaranteed lighting output or colour.

The manufacturer presents Garda as supplementary lighting for living rooms, dining rooms and halls. Its wall-mounted form can also provide an additional light point in a bedroom. A single globe does not, by itself, establish suitability for reading or show that the fitting will replace the main lighting throughout a room.

A restrained black-and-white composition

The straight bar and spherical shade support a modern, modernist interior scheme. The black metal can visually connect with other dark fittings or furnishings, while the white globe interrupts the linear shape. Check the article code when selecting from the family: 1099C1 identifies this black, single-shade wall light, not the white version or one of the multi-light Garda pendants.
