Aldex Garda 5 Ring Five-Light Pendant, Matt White, 1099F_R

Aldex Garda 5 Ring 1099F_R is a matt-white pendant with a single metal ring and five milky glass globe shades. The globes are arranged asymmetrically, with one larger shade breaking up the composition. Ring describes the circular frame; the number 5 refers to the light points, not to five separate rings.

Allow room for the frame and suspension

The fitting measures 92 cm wide, 83 cm deep and 120 cm high. Before positioning it over a dining table, compare both horizontal measurements with the tabletop and the distance to nearby furniture. The ring and its shades occupy space in two directions, so width alone does not describe the full footprint.

The manufacturer specifies a fixed-element height of 38 cm and permits an electrician to shorten the suspension. This is an installation adjustment, rather than a mechanism for raising and lowering the pendant during everyday use. Plan the final position around the lowest shade and the clearance needed above a tabletop or walking route.

Choose bulbs for both socket sizes

Four globes have a diameter of 14 cm and use E14 sockets; the larger 20 cm globe uses E27. For E14, the manufacturer recommends narrow LED bulbs no more than 10.2 cm tall, rated at a maximum of 10 W each. The E27 socket takes a standard LED bulb up to 15 W. A matching screw base is therefore only part of the choice: bulb dimensions also matter inside the smaller globes.

All five light points share one lighting circuit, which the manufacturer states cannot be modified. Do not plan separate switching for the large globe and the four smaller ones. Choose colour temperature and light output from the specifications of your selected bulbs, rather than assuming the photograph establishes either value.

A circular composition above a table

Garda provides a broad pendant arrangement for living and dining areas. The manufacturer also identifies halls, reception areas and restaurants as uses. Its matt-white frame, simple circle and glass globes suit modern and minimalist interiors. Choose it where there is room to make the asymmetric arrangement part of the layout, rather than where a small, compact pendant is needed.
