Asker 5103GB is a box-shaped outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder-coated in beige grey. A clear polycarbonate lens with a textured surface sits on the underside of the body, and the built-in LED module shines through it downwards only.
Size and wall mounting
The light is 22.5 cm wide and 11 cm high and projects 8.5 cm from the wall — measurements to compare with the free stretch of facade where it is going to hang. It weighs 1.35 kg and fixes through two ø5 mm holes spaced 180 × 60 mm apart.
The round-sheathed supply cable, 7–10.5 mm in diameter, enters through an EPDM gland. The manufacturer specifies that the gland is pierced with the cable alone, since damage from a tool reduces the seal. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through to the next fitting with up to 3 × 1.5 mm². The light is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection, and the manual calls for installation by a qualified electrician.
What light it gives
The 8 W integrated LED module is included, and the whole fitting draws 8.8 W. Its 164 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white, lights a strip of wall and the area below the fitting rather than a whole driveway or garden. Colour consistency of SDCM3 means several of these lights side by side shine in practically the same shade of white.
No light goes upwards (ULOR 0%, BUG rating B0-U0-G0), so it does not shine into the sky or onto the wall above it. The LED module can be replaced, but only by a qualified person. Brightness is adjusted with a phase dimmer — the light works with both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers.
Weather and impact resistance
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, so the light can hang on a wall with no canopy above it. IK08 stands for resistance to an impact energy of 5 J. The lens is UV-stabilised and a silicone gasket seals the housing. The manufacturer gives an operating temperature range of -20 to +45°C and intends the fitting for lighting walls and facades.
