A square footprint rather than a hanging shade

The base measures 34×34 cm. When planning its position, allow for both sides of the square and its alignment with the room, rather than treating 34 cm as the diameter of a round shade. The wooden plate gives the fitting a defined outline, while the cage leaves the area around the bulbs open.

This is a ceiling-mounted design without a long suspension. Consider it for a hallway, bedroom or general lighting in a living area. In a dining room it stays at ceiling level rather than hanging low over the table. That distinction matters when comparing it with a pendant intended to form a lower focal point.
