Gea Luce GPL402 is a ceiling-mounted LED light with a plain cylindrical body. Its aluminium housing has a matt silver finish, with the light source recessed behind the lower edge. A transparent methacrylate diffuser forms part of the manufacturer's stated anti-glare construction.
A defined beam, not an all-round shade
The integrated 8 W LED module produces warm white light at 3000 K. The manufacturer specifies a luminous flux of 601 lm and a 36° beam angle. Light is directed downwards into a concentrated area rather than spread evenly in every direction. When planning positions, consider which surfaces will sit below the fitting and where additional light points will be needed.
A CRI above 90 indicates high colour rendering, useful when the appearance of fabrics, furnishings or displayed objects matters. The colour temperature is fixed: this version does not offer a choice of white-light settings. The declared source life is 30,000 hours, which should not be interpreted as a warranty period.
Included components and installation planning
Both the LED module and transformer are included. However, the transformer is not integrated into the housing, so installation planning must also account for this separate component. The fitting operates on 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. It has on/off operation only and is not dimmable; choose another solution if brightness adjustment is a requirement of the lighting scheme.
The manufacturer specifies indoor ceiling installation. This directed light can complement lighting in a living room, bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, entrance hall or corridor. Its undecorated tube shape suits modern and minimalist interiors without relying on ornate arms or a broad shade. Plan the number of fittings around the required illumination rather than assuming one narrow beam will light a whole room.
Care and electrical precautions
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel with the mains supply disconnected. The instructions recommend a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Cables and electrical components must not be exposed to water or cleaning solution.
