Ideal Lux GEKO PL3 018508 white glass ceiling light with chrome detail, 3×E27, 40.5 cm

Ideal Lux GEKO PL3 018508 is a flush ceiling light with a glass cover shaped like a rounded triangle. Its white enamelled metal frame is paired with a central chrome-finished fixing. Rather than relying on elaborate ornament, the design is defined by the outline of the glass. Three E27 sockets sit behind the cover; bulbs must be bought separately.

A shallow fitting with a distinctive outline

This version measures 40.5 cm in length, 30.5 cm in depth and 6.5 cm in height. The 40.5 cm measurement is not a diameter, so allow for both dimensions of the outline when choosing a position. Its shallow profile is relevant where you want ceiling lighting without a suspended shade occupying the space below.

The GEKO PL3 instructions also permit wall mounting. For that arrangement, compare the available wall area with the complete glass outline rather than just the metal mounting base. The manufacturer requires installation by a qualified electrician. This is a Class I fitting, so a protective earth connection is needed.

Choose the bulbs as well as the fitting

Each of the three sockets takes an E27 bulb rated at no more than 60 W. That figure is the maximum for an individual bulb, not a fixed electricity consumption for the fitting. Ideal Lux recommends its spherical E27 SFERA 4 W bulb, but does not include it. Brightness and light colour therefore depend on the bulbs you select; the fitting itself has no fixed colour temperature or stated luminous flux.

The technical sheet specifies diffuse emission and a non-dimmable fitting. GEKO can be considered for general lighting in a hallway, corridor, bedroom or living room. Directional lighting for a desk should be planned separately, and bulb output should be chosen to suit the size of the room.

White surfaces with a restrained chrome detail

The gently rounded edges and limited detailing support a modern, minimalist setting. Chrome is used for the central glass fixing, not for the entire metal frame. Keep that distinction in mind when coordinating the light with other white fittings or chrome accessories.
