LED Labs STD 16-1066-54 is a five-metre LED strip with 600 SMD 2835 LEDs and fixed 4000 K neutral white light. This IP65HS version has a heat-shrink protective sleeve. Its 8 mm PCB width is an important measurement when planning a narrow lighting assembly.
Neutral white with individual light points
The 4000 K colour temperature is fixed: this is not an RGB strip or a tunable-white version. An output of 1040 lm per metre provides a basis for comparing strips before deciding on the installation length. Its CRI of 80 describes colour rendering without promising the performance of a higher-CRI light source.
There are 120 LEDs per metre. The product photograph shows separate LED packages, so take this construction into account if the strip will remain directly visible. On its own, it is not a finished luminaire with an uninterrupted luminous surface. It can form part of a linear lighting design in a home or office, including kitchen cabinetry and dressing areas. The final appearance also depends on the other components used in the assembly.
Match the power supply to the length
A separate LED power supply with a 24 V DC output is required. At 9.6 W per metre, the full five-metre length draws 48 W. This is the starting load for sizing the supply, not a recommendation for its rated output. Do not connect the strip directly to 230 V mains.
Double-sided adhesive tape provides a fixing method. The 8 mm dimension refers to the PCB, so check the space for the sleeved strip when choosing a profile. Dimming requires compatible control equipment rather than an arbitrary wall dimmer.
What IP65HS protects
The heat-shrink sleeve distinguishes this version from strips without enhanced protection. IP65 does not permit immersion, and the strip's rating does not automatically cover its connections or power supply. The manufacturer's operating range is -20°C to +45°C; account for these limits when selecting the installation position.
