Lucide CARO matt black ceiling spotlight, 1×GU10, Ø9 cm – 13955/01/30

Lucide CARO 13955/01/30 is a single ceiling spotlight with a movable head on a short arm and a round ceiling base. Its metal body has a matt black powder-coated finish. The open front leaves the GU10 bulb visible, so the appearance of the bulb also contributes to the finished fitting.

Aim the head rather than move the fitting

The spotlight can be tilted and rotated, with Lucide specifying 360° rotation. This lets you change the direction of the light while keeping the ceiling base in its original position. Use it as supplementary directional lighting in a living room, bedroom, kitchen, hallway, corridor or dressing area. In an office or study, it can define a particular area with light rather than serving automatically as the sole lighting for the whole room.

The round base, short arm and exposed head give CARO a restrained, technical appearance without a decorative shade. These features suit modern and minimalist interiors. Against a pale ceiling, the black base remains a distinct visual element rather than blending into the surface.

Choose the bulb and dimmer separately

There is one GU10 socket for a 5 W light source. A bulb is not supplied; Lucide recommends its 49006/05/30 light source. Brightness, colour temperature and beam angle therefore depend on the bulb you select. Check those figures on the bulb specification instead of treating them as fixed properties of the fitting. CARO has no built-in CCT colour-temperature adjustment.

Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and a compatible external dimmer, which is also excluded. Choosing an LED bulb does not by itself make the completed installation dimmable.

Check the ceiling position before installation

The fitting measures 9 cm in diameter and 13 cm high. Its ceiling base is 8.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm high. The height is not adjustable. Allow room for the head to tilt when deciding where the base should sit, and consider the intended direction of the beam. CARO is an indoor fitting for a 230 V supply. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Lucide confirms that installation materials are included.
