Firenze 820BL is a Norlys garden lantern with two heads hanging from curved arms on either side of a pole topped with a decorative finial. The luminaires are cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), with clear diffusers beneath bell-shaped hoods.
Height and the space it needs
The overall height is set on the telescopic pole anywhere from 193 to 256 cm. The height is therefore chosen during installation, to suit the exact spot, rather than when ordering.
The arms span 82 cm across the two heads, and the lantern measures 27 cm the other way. Compare that span with the place where it will stand, for example the width of the strip beside a path or the distance to a wall.
What is in the set and what to buy separately
The set consists of two Firenze 8012 luminaires, the 3040 reducer that joins them to the pole, and the 3010 telescopic pole. Bulbs are not included: you need two, one per head.
The pole base is fixed through three Ø10.5 mm holes spaced at 120° on a 240 mm circle. No foundation or anchor comes with it; Norlys sells a concrete foundation, a set-in-concrete anchor, a ground anchor and a foundation adapter separately. The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next luminaire on the same circuit. The manufacturer's instructions reserve installation and connection for a qualified electrician.
Which bulbs and what light
Each head has an E27 socket for an LED bulb of up to 9 W in an A55–A60 envelope, i.e. 55–60 mm in diameter; the instructions limit the bulb length to 110 mm. A wider or longer decorative bulb will not fit under the diffuser. The manufacturer's data sheet names a dimmable 806 lm / 8.5 W LED bulb at 2700 K as the matching type, roughly the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in a warm, slightly yellow light. The diffusers are clear and the luminaire sends 18% of its output above the heads (ULOR), so part of the light goes upwards rather than only onto the ground below.
Construction and where it fits
The diffusers are UV-stabilised polycarbonate, and a silicone gasket seals the luminaire. IP54 means the lantern can stay outdoors without a cover, and protection class II means it needs no protective earth conductor.
The form is classic, with a retro feel: bell-shaped hoods, curved arms and a finial on top of the pole. The manufacturer designed it for gardens and parks; it also suits the grounds of a hotel or restaurant and the area around a terrace.
