NORDLAND 5016 is a square outdoor light, 28 cm on each side and 9.5 cm deep, with a cast aluminium frame powder-coated in white RAL 9003. The front is filled by an opal diffuser of UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which also shows through slots in the sides of the frame. Norlys designed it for wall or ceiling mounting, so it also works under eaves or a canopy.
How much light it gives
The fitting puts out 594 lm while drawing 9.6 W — brightness between an old 40 W and 60 W bulb. At 4000 K the light is neutral white with no yellow tint, and CRI 80 means correct colour rendering. The opal diffuser spreads the light over the whole front, so the fitting glows as an even panel rather than a point.
It can be dimmed with a phase-cut dimmer, both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE), so an older R/RL dimmer works too. The light source is an integrated LED module rated at over 59,000 h before output drops by 30%. The module is not swapped like a bulb but replaced by a professional service, and Norlys lists a service kit for the fitting.
Installation and wiring
The fitting is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 150 × 170 mm and weighs 2.25 kg. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and let you loop the supply on to the next fitting with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights along a façade run on one line. The EPDM cable gland takes round cable of ø7–10.5 mm. The luminaire is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor.
Where it fits
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an exposed façade. The IK10 impact rating is the top of that scale, useful by entrances and walkways. Norlys describes the design as modern and intends the fitting for private grounds and architectural projects.
