Nowodvorski CUP 10790 Recessed Downlight Satin Chocolate Brown GU10 7 cm

The Nowodvorski CUP 10790 is a round recessed downlight with an ABS plastic body in satin chocolate brown. Its light source sits inside a pronounced, deep surround rather than level with the ceiling opening. Finish code P025 RAL 8017 identifies this brown version, not the black CUP variant.

Check the ceiling void, not just the body height

The outer diameter is 7 cm and the body itself is 5 cm high. That body measurement is not the installation clearance. The manufacturer's drawing shows 105 mm for the assembly with a lamp and lampholder, while the installation instructions require at least 120 mm of space. Compare the actual void above your ceiling with the instructions before ordering; a shallow recess cannot be assessed from the body height alone.

The fitting needs a round cut-out measuring 64 mm in diameter. This is a recessed fitting, not a surface-mounted cylinder. Only a small circular surround remains visible at ceiling level, but the components above it still need room for the complete installation.

Choose the light source separately

CUP takes one replaceable GU10 R50 LED lamp rated at no more than 10 W. The lamp is not included. Product photographs show a fitted light source to illustrate the assembled appearance, rather than to confirm that a bulb comes in the box.

Your chosen lamp determines colour temperature, light output and beam angle. The fitting therefore has no single fixed brightness or light colour. When planning several points in a hallway, living room or kitchen, consider bulb specifications together with spacing. A spent lamp can later be replaced with a compatible equivalent without selecting a new surround.

A brown detail for restrained interiors

The unadorned circular form supports modern and minimalist schemes. Compare its satin brown finish with the ceiling colour and other interior details rather than treating it as black. Recessed mounting also allows lighting points in bedrooms, dining rooms and studies without a hanging shade, while keeping the distinctive deep surround visible.
