Nowodvorski MAHE LED 8398 is a black, free-standing portable lamp 37 cm high, with a square shade and a slim stem on a square base. Symbol 8398 is the black variant in the MAHE LED family; the integrated LED is 2.2 W. It is wireless: a micro-USB charger is included, and the manufacturer states about 9 hours of use and 5–7 hours for a full charge.
Size, materials and IP54
Overall height is 37 cm, width 10 cm, shade height 8 cm. That scale sits on a terrace table or a low garden side table — measure the top first. The main material is lacquered aluminium, with PC plastic. IP54 and class II are given for outdoor use; it is splash-resistant, not a sealed pool luminaire.
Net weight is 1 kg, gross 1.42 kg. The box holds the lamp, the micro-USB charger and the instructions.
Light and control
168 lm at 3000 K, CRI ≥ 84 and a 46° beam give warm, fairly concentrated light at a table, not a flood for the whole garden. Source life is 25 000 h. The switch is touch-sensitive and the lamp dims. Do not use it while charging; the charger is ~220–230 V, 50/60 Hz.
Where to put it
The catalogue use is outdoor lighting. The plain black form suits modern, minimal terraces, balconies, gazebos and gardens, and as a movable light on a living-room, hotel or restaurant table. It is not a bathroom lamp and not a façade fitting. Once charged, you move it to the seat without a cable across the path.
