Outdoor wall light NORLYS Lillehammer DC1581CS LED 7.2W 3000K 24V DC Corten steel IP65

Lillehammer DC1581CS is a Norlys outdoor wall light shaped as an upright box of cast aluminium, powder-coated in a corten-steel colour (close to RAL 8011). It is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, and projects 11 cm from the wall. Light leaves at the top and bottom through two panes of optical safety glass.

What light it gives

Two LED modules, one for each direction, draw 7.2 W together. The modules produce 1064 lm and 231 lm leaves the fitting – the optics form two 60° beams, up and down, which draw vertical bands of light on the façade. This is accent lighting for a wall, not a lamp to light a whole driveway. 3000 K is warm white, and a ULOR of 50% means half the light goes upwards, which matters if a window sits just above.

24 V DC supply and control

This is the low-voltage version: the modules run on 24 V DC and the luminaire is protection class III. It is not connected directly to 230 V mains – the maker requires an external constant-voltage 24 V DC power supply, which has to be planned into the installation. The LED modules are suitable for dimming; how they are controlled depends on the power supply and the installation design.

The LED modules are replaced by a professional service, and the maker offers a service kit for this fitting. According to the card, the modules keep 90% of their output for more than 52,600 h and 80% for more than 102,000 h.

Mounting and wiring

The wall light screws on through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm and weighs 1.66 kg. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop through to the next fitting with up to 2 × 1.5 mm², so several lights along a wall can run from one line from the power supply. The cable should have a round sheath 7–10.5 mm in diameter, sealed by an EPDM gland. IP65 means it is sealed against dust and water jets, IK08 that the housing resists impacts.

Where it fits

Norlys designed Lillehammer for lighting walls and façades. The plain upright body suits Scandinavian and minimalist architecture, and several fittings at even spacing create a rhythm of light bands on a façade.
