Rendl LANA 60 R14299 is a white plastic LED ceiling light with a circular illuminated face and a narrow surrounding rim. Its 60 cm diameter is paired with a particularly shallow body: the manufacturer specifies a height of approximately 2.5 cm. This article code identifies the white version, rather than the black finish or imitation-beech variant.
A wide light without a hanging fitting
LANA 60 is designed for surface mounting on the ceiling. The shallow body matters when you want to keep the fitting close to the ceiling plane instead of suspending it on a cable. However, the 60 cm face still needs a clear area. Check the position of the electrical outlet and its distance from cabinetry, ceiling edges and other fittings before choosing its location.
The circular face and thin white border give it a restrained, modern appearance. It can provide general lighting in a living room, bedroom, kitchen, hallway or office. The number of fittings should be planned around the room dimensions and the illumination required, rather than diameter alone. This is not an adjustable spotlight for directing a narrow beam onto a particular task.
Choose the character of white light
The integrated LED source is rated at 50 W. Rendl specifies a luminous flux of 5000 lm and a colour rendering index of Ra 80. There is no separate screw-in bulb to select: the light source forms part of the fitting. It operates from a 230 V supply, and the required power supply component is included.
The available colour temperatures are 3000, 4000 and 6000 K, giving warm, neutral and cooler white respectively. This changes the appearance of the white light, not the body colour, and is not RGB colour lighting. Adjustable colour temperature does not itself establish brightness dimming. Likewise, 5000 lm is a light-output figure, not a guaranteed illuminance at a desk or on the floor; mounting height and room layout also affect the result.
