Rendl OTIS 50 R12491 black and white ceiling light, 50 cm, 3 × E27 Promo CODE - LUN18 until the end of Oct 28

Rendl OTIS 50 R12491 is a round ceiling light with two textile shades: a black outer shade and a white inner shade. A pale circular cover is visible from below, while the fabric texture remains apparent around the side. This is the black and white version, not the all-white option in the same family.

A 50 cm shade without a hanging cable

The fitting measures 50 cm across and 17 cm high. It mounts directly to the ceiling rather than hanging down over furniture. Before choosing it, compare that diameter with the available ceiling space and allow for the full 17 cm projection. This is not a pendant with an adjustable suspension cable.

Its form suits general lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining room. The manufacturer also lists kitchens, hallways, children's rooms and stair areas. In a kitchen, consider it for overall room lighting rather than as a substitute for lighting directed onto a worktop.

Three bulbs to choose separately

There are three E27 sockets for replaceable LED bulbs, each rated for a maximum of 15 W. Bulbs are not included. The designation 3 × 15 W is the permitted limit for the three sources, not a fixed energy consumption or a statement of brightness. Light colour and output depend on the bulbs you buy; the illuminated product photograph does not establish their colour temperature.

The manufacturer allows dimming with suitable light sources. If you want this function, select dimmable bulbs and compatible controls rather than assuming that every E27 bulb will work with a dimmer.

Textile shape and installation

The plain cylindrical outline, without decorative arms, supports modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. Its dark perimeter can pick up black details elsewhere in the room, while the white inner surface remains visible from below. It can also be considered for general lighting in hotel bedrooms or restaurant seating areas.

The fitting uses a 230 V supply. Its manual requires a qualified installer and isolation of the power before installation. The manufacturer warns that the shade can be damaged easily, so it needs careful handling during fitting and subsequent access.
