s.luce Velo 194504 12-Light Cascade Chandelier, E27, Mixed Glass, Black, Ø 80 cm Canopy

The s.luce Velo 194504 is a twelve-light cascade chandelier made from hand-blown glass and metal. This specific version combines brown, clear and smoked glass with black suspension fittings. It is not the all-brown configuration: different glass colours and three shade sizes share one round ceiling canopy.

Plan around the canopy and the drop

The canopy measures 80 cm across, while the individual shades have diameters of 18, 20 and 25 cm. These measurements describe different parts of the fitting and should not be confused when checking available space. Vertical cuts emphasise the rounded and elongated glass shapes, with slender black cables leaving open space between the pendants.

The manufacturer specifies open stairwells, mezzanines, tall entrance areas and spacious dining areas with high ceilings as suitable settings. Hotel lobbies, reception spaces and boutiques are also listed. Before positioning the fitting, compare the canopy diameter with the usable ceiling area and plan where the lowest shade will sit relative to stairs, a table or a walking route.

Arrange the cascade vertically

The textile cables are 500 cm long and can be shortened or extended according to the manufacturer. This allows the hanging arrangement to respond to the room height rather than putting every shade on the same level. Cable length is not the height of an individual glass shade or the overall diameter of the assembled installation. Include the different shade sizes when planning the sequence of drops and the final lower edge of the cascade.

Twelve replaceable E27 lamps

Bulbs are not included. The twelve E27 holders let you choose the light sources separately, so their colour temperature and light output determine the resulting illumination. The shades are open underneath, allowing direct downward light, and the bulbs remain visible through the glass. Their appearance therefore matters alongside their lighting specifications.

Dimming requires suitable light sources; this does not establish that a dimmer is built into the fitting. The restrained suspension and repeated cut-glass forms suit a modern interior, while the mixed clear, brown and smoked shades give the individual pendants more visual distinction than a single-colour arrangement.
